Steps for a Successful Installation

Preparation for Installation

Before starting the installation, carefully measure the intended opening in the wall. These dimensions must be +/-10 mm larger to be able to install the fire-resistant grill and ensure optimal efficiency.  If adjustments are required, use appropriate tools to achieve an accurate result.

Application of Fire Kit

Insert the grille, apply an approved fireproof sealant to the edge of the opening. This material ensures waterproofing and prevents the spread of smoke or toxic gases in the event of a fire.

Fixing the fire-resistant grid

Place the grid in the prepared opening (wall, partition, etc.). Always follow the recommendations specific to the grille model used, as indicated in the manufacturer’s instructions.

Checking for tightness

Once the grille is in place, check the connections thoroughly by running a finger along the entire edge. Any imperfection may compromise the effectiveness of the device in the event of a disaster.

Installation in a door: follow the template

For installation in a door, use a drill template provided by the manufacturer to ensure accurate assembly. The latter ensures that the net remains functional and meets safety standards.
